On Thursday, April 6, State Senator Anthony Cannella, R-Ceres, voted to raise car and gas taxes by $5.2 billion per year. The regressive taxes are expected to disproportionately hurt California’s poor and working families.

After casting the deciding vote, Cannella went into hiding, posting on social media, “I think I’m going to stay off social media today.”
